PhotoCircle Education & Nonprofit Plan Eligibility Criteria

PhotoCircle’s Education & Nonprofit plans provide discounted technology to assist charitable, nonprofit, educational, and social change organizations to operate effectively, raise funds, and build meaningful relationships with those they serve.

Eligibility Criteria

Organizations must meet the following criteria to qualify for access to PhotoCircle’s Education & Nonprofit offerings:

1. Recognized Status
   Organizations must be legally recognized as charitable, nonprofit, educational, or socially beneficial in their respective countries. This includes:

   • Public or private nonprofit primary, secondary, and higher education institutions.
   • Nonprofit organizations providing services such as arts, culture, social welfare, community development, healthcare, or humanitarian aid.
   • Organizations registered as 501(c)(3) tax exempt status in the United States.

2. Legal Documentation
   Organizations must maintain and, upon request, provide documentation demonstrating:

   • Nonprofit or charitable registration status (e.g. 501(c)(3) registration)
   • Articles of Association, Memorandum of Association, or equivalent governing documentation.
   • Financial statements that reflect a mission and operations centered on nonprofit, educational, or social objectives.

3. Compliance with Policies
   Organizations must adhere to acceptable use policies and other relevant terms of service.

Audit and Verification

Subscribers may optionally include their Tax ID or VAT number during the checkout process. You are encouraged to do so to streamline verification of eligibility.

PhotoCircle reserves the right to audit subscribers at any time to confirm eligibility criteria, during which they will need to present the following:

• Valid documentation confirming nonprofit or charitable status.
• Proof of compliance with legal and policy requirements.
• Confirmation of the organization’s primary purpose and activities.

Failure to supply required documentation may result in loss of eligibility and conversion to a full priced Teams & Business plan.

Included Categories of Organizations

The following organization types may be eligible for PhotoCircle Education & Nonprofit plans:

• Nonprofit Organizations

  • Charitable, educational, scientific, and literary organizations.
  • Social welfare and humanitarian aid providers.
  • Arts and cultural institutions.
  • Community-based health services.
  • Organizations focused on reproductive health, mental health, substance abuse treatment, or developmental services.

• Educational Institutions

  • Public and private nonprofit institutions of primary, secondary, or higher education.

• Fiscally Sponsored Organizations

  • Entities supported by a legally recognized nonprofit or public charity with documented fiscal sponsorship agreements.

Ineligible Organizations and Activities

The following organizations and activities are not eligible for the program:

• Excluded Organization Types
  • Hospitals, academic medical centers, and inpatient care facilities.
  • Health insurance providers or private medical practices.
  • Economic development organizations primarily focused on commercial business.
  • Trade or business associations.

• Argentina: Association Foundation Registration Certificate from Ministry of Justice (IGJ Reg) or Civil Simple Certification of Registration from Administracion Federal De Ingresos Publicos.

• Australia: ACNC Registration or DGR.

• Austria: Certificate of Registration “Gemeinnuetzigkeit” (Finanzamt fuer Koerperschaften).

• Belgium: Certificate of Registration; Cabinet of Belgium – Dutch: Vereniging Zonder Winstoogmerk (VZW), or Moniteur Belge – ASBL.

• Bermuda: Tax Exempt Registration from Registrar General, NPO Certificate of Registration, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Bolivia: NPO Registration Certificate from Director General del Registro de Asociaciones y or Certificate of Foundation Registration from Fundaciones Sins Fines de Lucro.

• Bosnia and Hersegovina: Minister of Justice – NPO Association Registration Certificate, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Brazil: Registration Certificate for Associations, Foundations, PBO from Ministry of Justice/Interior.

• Bulgaria: Certification of Registration – ‘BULSTAT’ Number from Minister of Justice, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Canada: Charity Registration Number from Canada Revenue Agency.

• Chile: Certificate of NPO Registration from Ministry of Justice/Interior.

• Colombia: Certificate of NPO Registration from Chambers of Commerce.

• Costa Rica: Certificate of NPO Registration from Ministry of Justice/Interior.

• Cyprus: Certificate of Registration as NPONGO, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Czech Republic: Certification of Registration as Foundation, Endowment from Foundation Register, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Ecuador: Certificate of Social” Charitable Registration number from IRS.

• Estonia: Certificate of Registration from County courts, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Finland: Foundation Certificate of Registration from Foundation Registry Certificate of NPO Registration from National Board of Patents and registrations.

• France: Certificate of Registration under “Loi de 1901”.

• Germany: Certificate of Registration “Gemeinnuetzigkeit” (Finanzamt fuer Koerperschaften).

• Ghana: Certificate of NGO Registration from Registrar General’s Department, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Greece: Certificate of Registration as NPONGO from Ministry of Finance, Official Government Journal, Articles and Memorandum of Association.

• Guatemala: Certificate of NPONGO Registration from local Government.

• Vietnam: Registered Associations, Foundations legal status (Decree 45 (2010) for associations, and Decree 148 (2007) for social and charitable funds), or notification (Decree 151 (2007) on cooperatives.
